For example, one of the first AI tools was Google Photos in 2015. Google's image recognition algorithms faced a blow when AI labelled photos of people from certain ethnic groups as "gorillas". Apple also released an AI tool – MAPS that had a lot of inaccurate information that led people to different spots. In 2016 Microsoft Tay was a tool whose purpose was to learn from interacting with users of the platform. Within 24 hours of its release, he began issuing a barrage of racist, sexist and other offensive tweets. In the HR area and more specifically in recruitment, Amazon created an AI Recruitment Tool in 2018 that should build a job candidate resume reviewer that uses natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML). It subsequently had to be dropped because it showed a bias towards women.
Thanks to these first attempts and failures, the a need to improve the technology to be able to streamline operations, enhance decision-making and personalizing customer experiences.

As AI continues to evolve and become more sophisticated, its impact on businesses is only expected to grow. To remain competitive in today's rapidly changing world, businesses must embrace AI as a strategic tool for innovation and growth. However, amidst these transformations, it's crucial to recognize that human resources remain the most potent asset of any business. It's essential to acknowledge that the expertise, creativity, and adaptability of human employees are irreplaceable. While AI can optimize operations and provide valuable insights, it's human ingenuity that drives innovation and fosters meaningful connections with customers.
