Work style: Hybrid, with 1 day of remote work (when it’s end of month closing time, full Work From Home offered)Accountant Responsibilities:
- Process and input accounting documents with attention to center cost allocation.
- Understand Romanian statutory accounting, focusing on accounts payable, accounts receivable, assets, and inventory.
- Conduct banking activities, including payments, collections, and daily reporting.
- Monitor cash flows and provide relevant interpretations.
- Manage relationships with clients and suppliers.
- Stay updated with financial regulations and tax legislation.
- Assist the Chief Accountant with reporting and other assigned projects.
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
- Verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling accounts payable and receivable
- Recording, classifying, and summarizing financial transactions and events in accordance with accepted local accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of noncompliance
- Producing accounting reports and monthly/quarterly/yearly statistics
- Computation and payments on daily / monthly basis
- Assist in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting.
- Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process.
- Cooperation with external auditors to carry out annual external auditing.
- Cooperates with tax authorities in case of tax reviews.
Requirements:
- Graduate in Economics or a related field.
- (Accountant) Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar position.
- (Senior Accountant) A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with expertise in cost center allocation and reporting.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and other MS Office tools.
- Experience with JD Edwards or a similar ERP system is an advantage.
- Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
- Curious, collaborative, and a strong team player with a long-term commitment to the organization.
- A stable work history reflecting reliability and dedication.
