Job Description: Accounting, Reporting, and Tax Specialist/Expert (Based in Slovakia)

Responsibilities:
- Prepare Financial Statements: Generate and maintain financial statements for the Branch.
- Regulatory Reporting: Compile and submit all required regulatory reports to local authorities.
- Accounting Principles: Collaborate with the head office to establish accounting principles for the Branch, including developing accounting policies and procedures.
- Regulatory Updates: Identify changes in accounting, reporting, and tax regulations, implement necessary updates internally, and coordinate changes in IT systems.
- Recording and Reconciliation: Participate in the recording process and reconciliation of accounting books.
- Internal Accounting Services: Provide accounting services for the Branch’s internal operations.
- Process Optimization: Develop and implement optimized solutions for accounting processes.
- Tax Management: Manage tax liabilities for the Branch, including the preparation and filing of tax declarations, coordination with external accounting offices, identifying associated entities, and preparing and updating tax documents for transactions with these entities. Handle transfer pricing reports and necessary data for group obligations related to transfer pricing and foreign-controlled entities.
- Liaison Duties: Liaise with Slovakian financial supervision authorities, tax authorities, and banking union organizations.
Requirements:
- Language Proficiency: Proficiency in Slovakian and English (minimum B2 level).
- Educational Background: Higher education in sciences, economics, accounting, or banking.
- Experience: At least two years of experience in financial and regulatory reporting, with strong knowledge of Slovakian reporting regulations and banking systems.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with IFRS and the Slovakian Accounting Act, especially concerning bank operations.
- Software Skills: Advanced skills in MS Office.
- Analytical Skills: High analytical ability and creativity.
- Additional Skills: Knowledge of SQL is a plus.
