Role Summary:
The Alternate Materials Specialist will be responsible for identifying, developing, and integrating alternate raw materials, such as recycled acetic acid, PCL3, and yellow phosphorus, into production processes. This role focuses on cost efficiency, material recovery, and compliance with sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Research and Development:

Conduct research to identify viable alternate raw materials for existing phosphonate and polymer production processes.

Develop innovative recovery and purification methods for raw materials, ensuring they meet quality standards.

Process Optimization:

Integrate alternative raw materials into production workflows to improve efficiency and sustainability.

Develop scalable production techniques that reduce costs and environmental impact.

Material Recovery and Purification:

Innovate methods to recover and purify raw materials like recycled acetic acid and yellow phosphorus for reuse.

Optimize the quality and performance of recycled materials through advanced purification techniques.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and environmental compliance teams to implement alternate materials into large-scale production.

Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to source and test new materials.

Sustainability and Compliance:

Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and internal sustainability goals when integrating alternate materials.

Drive initiatives to minimize waste and improve eco-friendliness in production.

Stay updated on market trends and emerging technologies in raw material sustainability.

Qualifications:

Education: MSc or PhD in Chemistry, Material Science, or Chemical Engineering.

Experience: At least 8+ years in alternate materials research or process optimization.

Expertise in sustainable raw materials, recycling, and purification processes.

Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance.
