Job Title: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) - Mozambique

Job Purpose
To co-ordinate and oversee international businesses of the Bank to achieve the bank’s goals and objectives in line with overall goal and strategic objectives of the Institution.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement the overall strategy for the Country operations of the Group in line with the bank’s corporate strategic goals and objectives
- Overall management, co-ordination and oversight of the Group’s Country operations
- Drive implementation of the Group’s corporate strategy and setting strategic direction and objectives for the international businesses in alignment with overall Group direction and objectives
- Monitor and report performance of Country operations of the Group
- Facilitate and oversee International expansion including market entry and growth of Country operations
- Ensure compliance to Group Corporate policies, procedures and statutory regulations across Country operations including reporting
- Review and monitor budgets of operations of Country operations in line with business needs/goals/requirements and approved limits
- Facilitate communication of Group direction and ensure alignment of international businesses with Group direction
- Provide support and advice to executives of Country operations and to the Group office on issues affecting international businesses
- Develop skills of and provide career development for direct reports
- Promote corporate core values and commitment to Group goals and objectives
- Perform other functions as assigned by the responsible Group Executives
Professional Requirements
Qualification
A good first degree in any discipline. Relevant Masters’ degree will be an advantage
Professional Membership
- A recognized professional certification will be an added advantage e.g. CFA, CIS, ACCA, ACA, CFP, IT Certifications, etc.
- Minimum of 17 years post qualification experience in Operations management and payments and settlements role within the Financial Services Industry, of which at least 10 must have been in the Banking Sector and 10 years must have been at a senior management level
- International business experience will be added advantage
