Our Client is one of the leading producers of electricity, heat and modern fuel.
This role reporting to board of directors and shareholders envisages a senior coordination of major projects of strategic importance, besides the common tasks and duties of a CFO
Main scope of the role is to obtain the best possible finance support for major industrial project, be able to do strategic analysys and to document huge finance investments projects.
Therefore, a previous (similar) experience is essential.
CFO Must haves:
- Minimum 10 years experience in financial management - large corporations
- Experience financing industrial projects (preferably in the energy field)
- Financial strategy and internal work framework setting
- Background in energy/ banks/ investment funds/ oil &gas
- Relationship with investors and attracting financing from various sources (private, banks, state, funds)
- Fluent English
About the team to coordinate and existing structure will be discussed with the short listed candidates.
This person will hold the usual CFO responsibilities (redefine financial strategies, cooperate with board on a regular basis, coordinate all accounting & finance in the co) also tactical ones, leads and manages the day-to-day work of a Shared Resources team, ensuring that targets are set, met and monitored; and team members are supported and enabled to meet these targets and achieve a high level of performance both individually, and as a member of a successful finance team.
Main & additional tasks and treats:
- Champion excellent management of financial resources, promoting probity, efficiency, high performance and overall value for money.
- Ability to convince stakeholders, major investment entities and related thirs parties and proven experience of this type - mandatory.
- Undertake strategic analysis and assist the Chief Financial Officer with strategic planning, including leading on the development of the annual and medium-term financial plans across the Co ensuring they reflect the Co’ priorities and strategic objectives.
- Ensure that officers and directors are provided with high quality strategic advice and direction on financial strategies, policy, standards and practices, enabling to make timely and well-informed decisions in the knowledge of the impact those decisions will have financially wise.
- Improve a culture which empowers budget holders and staff and supports the delivery of value for money services, including reporting on benchmark information and key cost drivers.
- Provide effective leadership and operational management of the team, ensuring that staff adopt the values and expected behaviors of the organizations, to deliver a high-performance culture.
- Lead on financial input, business modelling and risk assessments for business cases/delivery model appraisals/prudential borrowing assessments/funding bids etc.)
- Ensure the timely preparation of robust business cases from a financial and performance perspective, testing the underlying assumptions and quality assuring the cost, benefits, risks and funding solutions.
- Analyze, interpret and communicate financial and performance data, and provide financial advice, including in the form of reports. Influence decision making where appropriate to achieve budget, targets and strategies.
- Research the wider financial context and identify developments and changes which will have an impact, either positive or negative, on cost, service delivery or performance.
- Lead the delivery of accurate financial and performance, monitoring forecasts and plans. Ensure robust plans for the mitigation of risks identified. To produce the overall revenue and capital budgets in accordance with national legislation and internal policies.
- To close accounts, complete appropriate tax returns and produce unqualified statement of accounts in accordance with the statutory legislation, practices and timetables. Develop excellent relationships with the External Auditor.
- Promote the review of financial policy, systems and practice to deliver a program of continual improvement, automation and self service to customers and deliver on the exploration of the ERP system full benefits.
- Undertake such other duties as may be appropriate to the post, required by the Company's Management, respecting the indicated deadlines.
