B. Job Objective
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring efficiency in production, supply chain, and distribution processes. The COO is tasked with leading operations to drive business growth, optimize processes, and improve productivity. This role requires a deep understanding of commodity markets, supply chain logistics, regulatory compliance, and risk management. The COO will work closely with the CEO and other executives to align operational activities with strategic goals.
C. Primary responsibilities
1) Operations and Supply Chain Management:
a) Ensure efficient and cost-effective management of all operations and supply chain processes, including procurement, warehousing, and distribution.
b) Align operational activities with the company’s strategic objectives and growth targets.
2) Strategic Planning and Execution:
a) Work with the CEO and executive team to develop and implement short- and long-term operational strategies.
b) Identify and pursue opportunities for process improvement and innovation within the commodity operations.
3) Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance:
a) Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage operational risks.
b) Develop and enforce risk management policies, focusing on financial, operational, and regulatory risks.
4) Market Analysis and Demand Forecasting:
a) Market Analysis and Demand Forecasting.
b) Manage and monitor the operational budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost control.
5) Technology and Process Optimization:
a) Drive technology adoption and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
b) Implement digital tools and technology to streamline operations, including inventory management, logistics, and production processes.
6) Team Leadership and Development:
a) Build and lead a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent and reporting manager.D) Key Result Areas

F) Educational and Experience RequirementsMinimum Requirement

MBA/Finance/ Business Administration / Supply Chain Management,
• B. tech + MBA
• MBA Finance (Tier1, Tier2 College)
• Similar Industry ExperienceExperience
• 15+ years of experience in the similar role.
• 5 years in a leadership position within the commodity sector.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
