Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation:
- Develop content for various channels, including blogs, posts, newsletters, social media (Website, LinkedIn, X and so on) and press releases.
- Assist in drafting speeches, presentations, and other communication materials for senior executives.
- Coordination with the design team for the collaterals.
Social Media Management:
- Create and schedule social media posts across platforms (e.g., Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube etc.,) and routine updates to the website.
- Monitor social media activity, engage with followers, and track performance metrics.
- Stay current with social media trends to enhance online presence.
Public Relations:
- Coordinate for media events, press conferences, road shows and other public relations activities.
- Maintain media lists and establish relationships with journalists and media outlets.
- Monitor media coverage and report on relevant mentions and trends.
Internal Communications:
- Support internal communication efforts by crafting messages and content for publication to employees and IISc.
- Help coordinate internal events, meetings, and newsletters.
Administrative Support:
- Assist with the development and management of communication budgets and timelines.
- Provide logistical support for events and internal programs as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
Experience:
5-7 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a related role.
Experience with social media management and content creation is preferred.
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English and Hindi, other languages would be nice to have)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with content management systems (CMS).
Knowledge of social media platforms and tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, mailchimp, Wordpress).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Working Conditions:
This position is based in an office environment, with occasional opportunities for remote work.
May require occasional participation in evening or weekend events and travel inside and outside of Bangalore.
