Compliance Officer

Position Overview

We are looking for a Compliance Officer to ensure that operations and business transactions follow all relevant legal and internal rules. You will also review employees’ work and provide advice on compliance.

To succeed in this role, you should be a reliable professional who is not afraid to speak their mind and stand by their decisions. You should be familiar with risk management and industry standards.

Your goal will be to ensure we operate in a legal and ethical manner while meeting our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with corporate compliance programs with responsibilities in the areas of Global Anti-Corruption, Trade Compliance, Personal Data Privacy
• Under supervision, draft and revise company policies
• Proactively audit processes, practices, and documents to identify weaknesses
• Conducts compliance monitoring to ensure all regulations are met
• Collaborate with external auditors and HR when needed
• Educate and train employees on regulations and industry practices
• Creates and maintains reports and records from the compliance program
• Keep abreast of changes in laws, rules, and regulations at local and international levels and communicate internally to implement changes
• Serve as a liaison to the Corporate Compliance Office in HQ

Requirements Qualifications:

• 6+ years’ experience in corporate compliance/ auditing
• BSc/BA in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
• Professional certification (e.g., Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP)) is a plus
• PC Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Oracle, etc.)
• Experience in risk management
• Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards
• Ability to travel as needed to the Middle East and USA
• Fluent in English, Arabic preferred
