We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or Data Engineer with specialized experience in processing geospatial data. The initial contract duration is 3 months, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements and performance. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding and expertise in working with geospatial data from GIS systems, particularly ArcGIS and ESRI, and will be adept at analyzing, transforming, and visualizing such data.
Key Responsibilities:
• Data Pipeline Management: Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines for the collection, transformation, and loading of data into various data stores.
• Data Warehousing: Build and maintain data warehousing and data lake solutions to support various business needs.
• Data Modeling: Develop and deploy efficient data models that align with business requirements.
• Coding: Write efficient, scalable code in languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.
• Data Solutions Design: Lead the design of high-quality, automated, and performant data solutions.
• Pipeline Ownership: Ensure the reliability and scalability of data pipelines feeding into the Data Platform.
• Data Availability: Ensure data is available in a timely and fit-for-purpose manner for business and analytics consumption.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the Data Product Manager and interact with stakeholders to support alignment of requirements and data sources from various systems and endpoints.
• Communication: Clearly communicate complex solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences. Qualifications: • Geospatial Expertise: Experience with geospatial data, GIS systems, ArcGIS, and ESRI. • Large-Scale Solutions: Proven track record in delivering large-scale data and analytical solutions in a cloud environment.
• End-to-End Implementation: Hands-on experience with end-to-end data pipeline implementation on AWS, including data preparation, extraction, transformation, loading, normalization, aggregation, warehousing, data lakes, and data governance.
• Data Warehousing Development: Expertise in developing data warehouses.
• Modern Data Architecture: In-depth understanding of modern data architectures such as Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, and Data Mesh.
• Data Architecture Knowledge: Strong knowledge of data architecture and data modeling practices, with a focus on cost-effective data pipeline management.
• CI/CD Familiarity: Familiarity with CI/CD-driven data pipeline and infrastructure (e.g., BitBucket).
• Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile delivery approaches, using Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
• QA and Testing Support: Experience supporting QA and user acceptance testing processes.
• Self-Driven Improvement: A self-driven professional who constantly seeks opportunities to improve data processes. Additional Skills:
• Experience with Python & System Databases (e.g., MS SQL), Talend. • Ability to analyze, transform, and visualize geospatial data effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex data requirements.
