Job Description : SaaS Sales Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Manager to lead our design team in the development of solar energy projects, including on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid solar plants. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in electrical design engineering, DC electrical systems, and have hands-on experience with various types of solar installations such as rooftop, ground-mounted, and hybrid systems. The Design Manager will be responsible for overseeing the design process, ensuring technical accuracy, and managing cost estimation for projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Electrical Design Engineering:
• Lead and manage the electrical design process for solar energy projects, including on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations in all design work.

2. DC Electrical System Expertise:
• Provide expertise in DC system design, including the selection of appropriate components such as PV modules, inverters, and battery systems.
• Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies for solar projects.

3. Project Design and Implementation:
• Design and implement solar systems for rooftop and ground-mounted installations.
• Develop detailed layouts, single-line diagrams, and equipment specifications for solar projects.

4.Use of Design Tools:
• Utilize PVsyst and other solar design tools for system simulations, performance predictions, and energy yield calculations.
• Perform cable sizing, earthing calculations, and other electrical design tasks to ensure safety and efficiency.

5.Cost Estimation and Project Philosophy:
• Develop project philosophies and design strategies that align with client requirements and company standards.
• Prepare detailed cost estimations for solar projects, including material, labor, and overall project costs.

6. Collaboration and Coordination:
• Work closely with the project management, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

7. Quality Assurance:
• Conduct thorough reviews of designs and documentation to maintain high quality and accuracy.
• Implement best practices in design and project management to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• Having 4-5 years of extensive experience in electrical design engineering for solar on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid systems.
• Proficiency in DC electrical systems, including component selection and system integration.
• Hands-on experience with rooftop and ground-mounted solar installations.
• Strong expertise in PVsyst and other relevant solar design tools.
• Proven ability in cable sizing, earthing calculations, and other electrical design tasks.
• Experience in developing project philosophies and detailed cost estimations.
