Role Overview:
The Director of People and Culture will lead all human resources functions, including recruitment, employee engagement, talent development, and cultural alignment, ensuring that the resort maintains a cohesive, positive, and high-performance work culture. This leader will work closely with senior management to support operational excellence by implementing strategic HR practices that drive guest satisfaction and employee well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Talent Acquisition and Retention: Attract top-tier talent for all levels within the resort, from entry-level to leadership roles, with an emphasis on cultural fit, skill, and passion for luxury hospitality.
- Employee Engagement and Development: Create and lead initiatives that foster a positive workplace culture, promote employee satisfaction, and support professional growth, including training programs, mentorship, and career advancement opportunities.
- Culture and Brand Alignment: Ensure that the resort’s core values and brand identity are reflected in every aspect of the employee experience. Develop programs that reinforce a guest-centric mindset and a high standard of service excellence.
- Performance Management: Establish and oversee performance management systems that are transparent, fair, and geared toward continuous improvement, recognizing and rewarding top performers while addressing development needs.
- Compliance and Policy Implementation: Maintain a thorough understanding of local labor laws and ensure full compliance with all HR policies and procedures. Develop policies that protect both employees and the resort’s interests.
- Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor and mediator to handle employee concerns, fostering a respectful and supportive environment where issues can be addressed constructively.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven background in luxury hospitality HR management, with a strong understanding of both operational needs and luxury service standards.
- Demonstrated experience in building and sustaining positive workplace cultures that are guest-focused and aligned with high-end hospitality.
- A strategic thinker and compassionate leader who can inspire, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
- Knowledge of local labor laws, compliance requirements, and best HR practices in the hospitality industry.
