Job Overview:
The company is seeking a results-driven Divisional Sales Manager to lead their sales initiatives, focusing on business growth and development of new customers and growth within their existing clientele. The ideal candidate will excel at nurturing long-lasting relationships with loyal customers, driving repeat sales, and re-engaging lapsed clients. This role requires strong people management skills and a strategic approach to maximize company’s business potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and implement the overall sales strategy for institutional clients in the automotive sector. Lead, mentor, and manage the institutional sales team to achieve sales targets and enhance overall performance.
- Business Growth: Develop and implement strategies to increase sales from existing customers. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within the current client base. Monitor sales performance and adjust tactics as needed to achieve growth targets.
- Client Relationship Management: Foster strong, enduring relationships with key clients to enhance customer loyalty. Conduct regular check-ins and feedback sessions to understand client needs and concerns. Establish a customer-centric culture focused on delivering exceptional service.
- Customer Retention and Re-engagement: Analyze data to identify lost or inactive clients and develop targeted re-engagement strategies. Create initiatives to win back lost customers, including personalized outreach and tailored offers.
- Sales Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of sales representatives, providing guidance and support to achieve individual and team goals. Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the team’s sales skills and product knowledge.
- Performance Analysis: Track sales metrics and KPIs to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement. Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management, highlighting achievements and strategic recommendations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure alignment in strategies and execution. Collaborate with finance and supply chain teams to ensure efficient order fulfilment and inventory management.
- Market Analysis & Business Development: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape in the institutional sales sector of the automotive industry. Develop and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships to drive growth.
Desired candidate profile:
Education: BE- Mechanical (MBA preferred)
Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience with 3-4 years of sales experience in selling products to Automotive companies. Industrial sales experience required.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment, particularly within the Automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Exceptional leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop actionable sales forecasts and strategies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
- Willingness to travel is needed for client meetings, site visits, and trade events.
- Experience in selling complex Engineering & industrial systems, particularly catering to Automotive industry.
- Strong network in the Automotive segment.
