Our client owns and manages one of the largest and most critical infrastructures in Greece. For their exponentially growing operations, they are looking for an ‘Electrical Systems Design Engineer’ who performs all phases of electrical engineering duties within the infrastructure, including time-planning, designing, overseeing coordinating, and reviewing all types of technical works and installations related electrical systems, to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations.
Your Responsibilities:
• Prepare feasibility, outline and detailed electrical engineering design studies, dictate material specifications, support estimates of quantities/cost of materials, equipment, etc. Assess impact and potential risks related to electrical engineering projects.
• Work closely with other engineering disciplines (i.e., architects, civil and mechanical engineers) to provide in-time and on-budget coordinated design packages.
• Coordinate and supervise external electrical engineering consultants who have been assigned, to provide design consultancy services.
• Cooperate with external pertinent authorities and other specialists.
• Ensure the highest availability and minimal downtimes of the Medium Voltage (MV) network of the infrastructure, by proper planning, designing, and preparing electrical engineering projects for new constructions, or modifications to the infrastructure's electrical systems.
• Prepare various technical reports and presentations, as necessary, for the assessment and approval of CapEx projects.
• During the Procurement (PRC) phase of technical projects, responsible for preparing the Scope of Works, and supporting the formulation of relevant tender documents (e.g., evaluation criteria, model Agreement, etc.).
• Participate, as necessary, in project committees and cooperate with project managers in all project phases.
Your Profile:
• University degree in Electrical Engineering, member of TEE or EU equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in the design of electrical systems, preferably in large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Extensively involved in relevant legislation, regulations, specifications as well as pertinent Environmental considerations (KENAK).
• AutoCAD and Office applications
• Strong English skills.
