Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
•    Proven experience in database migration, with a focus on SQL databases.
•    Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with various database management systems (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
•    Experience with ETL tools and processes.
•    Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
•    Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:
•    Knowledge of data warehousing and big data technologies.
•    Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database).
•    Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Analysis and Planning:
    Assess the current database structures and data quality.
    Develop detailed migration plans, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
    Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and constraints.
Migration Execution:
    Design and implement data migration processes using SQL and other relevant technologies.
    Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) using SQL scripts and tools.
    Ensure data consistency and integrity throughout the migration process.
Testing and Validation:
    Conduct thorough testing to verify data accuracy post-migration.
    Identify and resolve any data discrepancies or issues.
    Coordinate with QA teams to validate data migration outcomes.
Performance Optimization:
    Optimize SQL queries and database performance during migration.
    Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues during and after the migration.
Documentation and Reporting:
    Document migration processes, methodologies, and any changes to the database schema.
    Prepare detailed migration reports for stakeholders.
Support and Maintenance:
    Provide post-migration support to address any issues or concerns.
    Maintain and update data migration scripts and documentation.
