Our client is a prominent player in the hospitality industry, managing two prestigious hotels, part of an internationally renowned luxury brand. We are currently seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of these distinguished properties. The Finance Manager will report directly to the General Manager.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the comprehensive financial functions of both hotels, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust accounting policies and procedures
- Prepare and analyze annual budgets, monthly profit and loss statements, and balance sheets
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations, including accurate tax charging, collection, and submission
- Prepare and submit detailed monthly management reports to the international brand headquarters
- Maintain a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets
- Collaborate with the Cost Controller to ensure effective implementation of cost control procedures and to monitor expense management
- Proactively identify and recommend opportunities for revenue enhancement
- Monitor and manage internal, external, and regulatory audit processes
- Collaborate closely with all hotel departments to ensure financial alignment and support operational efficiency
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the General Manager to support strategic decision-making
- Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Desired experience, skills and qualifications:
- At least 5 years of proven experience as a Finance Manager or in a senior financial leadership role within the hospitality industry
- Strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Demonstrated ability to develop and motivate high-performing teams
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong business acumen with the ability to influence decision-making at all levels
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems relevant to the hospitality sector
- Familiarity with hotel management software and MS Office applications
- Fluency in English
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification, or an university degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
