 We are seeking an experienced General Manager - Operations to lead the end-to-end manufacturing and operational functions of our Client's  facility in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, logistics, warehousing, and industrial relations. The role requires strong leadership in managing large teams, optimizing operations, and ensuring efficient production while maintaining cost-effectiveness and quality standards. 

Job Description 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:  

• Operations & Production Management: -  
• Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient manufacturing processes. 
• Implement best practices in plastic injection moulding, stamping, assembly, and related production processes. 

• Ensure adherence to production schedules, achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) in quality, cost, and delivery. 

• Drive continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and automation to enhance productivity.  
• Quality Assurance & Compliance: -  
• Maintain high-quality standards and ensure compliance with ISO, FDA, and other regulatory requirements. 
• Work closely with the quality control team to ensure zero-defect production. 
• Implement corrective actions and process improvements based on customer feedback and internal audits.  
• Maintenance & Utilities Management: - 
• Oversee plant maintenance and ensure maximum uptime of production equipment. 
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies. 
• Ensure the efficient management of utilities, including power, water, and waste management. 

• Supply Chain, Logistics & Warehousing: -  
• Lead supply chain, procurement, and vendor management to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and components. 
• Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring proper inventory control and efficient logistics management. 

• Manage import-export operations in compliance with international trade regulations. 
• People Management & Industrial Relations: -  
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of managers and supervisors across various functions. 
• Foster a positive work culture and ensure high employee engagement. Manage industrial relations, negotiate with labor unions, and handle grievance resolution effectively.  
• P&L and Cost Management: -   
• Responsible for the profit and loss (P&L) performance of the plant. 
• Develop cost-control measures to improve profitability while maintaining quality and efficiency. 
• Ensure financial discipline and optimize operational expenses.  

Experience & Qualifications: -  

• 10+ years of leadership experience in operations, production, and manufacturing within automotive, engineering, or oil & gas sectors. 

• Strong background in plastic injection moulding, stamping, assembly, maintenance, and quality control. 

• Experience in managing large teams and handling industrial relations. 

• Proven track record in P&L management and cost optimization. 

• International work experience is must. 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Production + Business Management MBA Preferred.
