Job Summary:
The Group CFO will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, budgeting, and reporting. The CFO will report directly to the CEO and will work closely with other members of the executive team to drive growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Should have successfully led his/her current or prior company through IPO listing and extensive experience in liaising with Banks in terms of fund raising.
- Developing and implementing financial strategies, forecasts, and budgets aligned with the institution's strategic goals and objectives. Conducting financial analysis and risk assessments to identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth. Ensure proper internal financial controls and monitoring.
- Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements specific to the education industry. Preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Collaborating with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
- Identifying and pursuing funding opportunities, grants, and partnerships to support the institution's research, programs, and initiatives. Managing the application process and compliance requirements for grants and other external funding sources.
- Managing the institution's investment portfolio and assets to maximize returns and ensure long-term financial stability. Collaborating with investment managers and trustees to develop investment strategies aligned with the institution's financial objectives and risk tolerance.
- Identifying and managing financial risks specific to the Chemical industry, such as changes in government funding, regulatory compliance, and cybersecurity threats. Implementing and monitoring internal controls to safeguard the institution's assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Building and leading a high-performing finance team. Providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members. Fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- CA (Chartered Accountant) designation is required.
- 20-25 years of experience in finance, with a proven track record of success in a similar role
- Experience in Edible Oil industry is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
