ROLE OBJECTIVES:- The mandate of the Sugar Sales Head is to drive sugar sales and marketing activities to bulk buyers, including wholesalers, institutional clients, traders and large-scale consumers. The role demands a strategic approach to market penetration, customer relationship management, and ensuring sustainable business growth through effective planning and execution.
ACCOUNTABILITIES (Sales):-
Strategy and Execution-
-
Conduct market research to understand demand patterns, price fluctuations, and competition. Identify growth opportunities and potential threats within the category.

Develop a comprehensive strategy, including short-term and long-term goals. Align category strategy with overall business objectives.

Contribute to the development of the annual sales budget.
-
Ensuring that procedures and overall management are designed in accordance with established policy
-
Keeping informed the President of existing or impending policy issues
-
Define the Business Unit strategy in association with the Management and execute the same to achieve volume, revenue and profitability targets in bulk sugar sale
-
Channelize the resources to function for the objective alignment.
Business Development-
-
Develop new customers (institutional, industrial, traders etc.) and implement operational policies, strategic plans.
-
Identify new market opportunities and expand the customer base in both existing and untapped regions.
-
Set annual operating plans for revenue generation within the limits prescribed, delegated authority and the framework of the strategic directions approved by the President.

Monitor market trends to adjust pricing and sales strategies dynamically.
-
Operate the business within established policies, maintain a regular policy review process and revise or develop policies for presentation to the President.

Ensure the businesses operates within approved budgets and operating plans.

Ensure the Company/ Businesses meets customer audit requirements. Carry out necessary pre-sales activities.

Be responsible for the P & L of the division (Profit and Loss) and ensure all the functional teams are synergized and aligned to the P & L objectives of bulk sugar sales.
Human Capital Development-

Create and maintain an organizational environment that promotes positive staff morale and performance.

Direct, motivate and maintain a competent, well-trained, flexible and responsive staff capable of meeting current and future needs.

Develop and maintain an annual approved plan for the development and succession management.
Sales Management-
-
Oversee the development of the sugar (bulk sales) division’s annual sales plan and recommend strategies to achieve the division goals and objectives.
-
Upon approval of the sales plan and annual budget and with full delegated authority implement the plan in its entirety with respect to – inventory management, marketing, sales, finance, customer satisfaction, quality of service and continuous market research and development

Continuously strive for sales revenue and volume growth in the bulk sugar segment, market share expansion and customer acquisition, customer retention rates as well as satisfaction levels and timeliness and accuracy of order fulfillment.

Monitor the Bulk sugar sale division’s performance and provide a monthly/ quarterly performance report to the Management.

Oversee the preparation of quarterly budget variance reports, the annual report and annual financial statements.

Participate in an annual performance evaluation as conducted by the Management.

Interpretation of government policy and to ensure Liaoning with respective authorities.

Provide leadership, direction to staff and team building of the bulk sugar sales divisions.
Relationship Management and Cross-Functional Coordination-
-
Build and maintain strong relationships with bulk buyers, fostering trust and long-term partnerships.
-
Address customer concerns promptly to ensure high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
-
Maintain active communication with key stakeholders to anticipate and meet client needs.
-
Collaborate with production, QA/QC and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance of sugar.

Work with finance and accounts teams to ensure smooth invoicing and payment collection processes.
Reporting and MIS-
-
Submitting the timely reports and Management Dashboards to the Management as specified time to time to support the management decision making process.

In case of any issues or concerns – escalating them on timely basis to ensure that the subsequent implications and impact can be minimized.
EDUCATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:-
-
Educational Qualifications:(Additional Certification Required if any) - Graduation degree in business which includes management, leadership, Finance & accounts Background experience of managing bulk sales of commodities in the same capacity will be additional advantage

Relevant Experience - 15-20 years / less experience but high responsibility undertakes

Age - Above 40 Years
