Our Client is a global leader in Agriculture.
For their growing operations in Greece, they are looking for an 'HSE Regional Lead', a key role in ensuring health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance and culture across assigned sites (Athens & Thessaloniki)
This role supports locations without an HSE team, drives corporate HSE compliance at the country level, and fosters a strong HSE culture within the region.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Support Sites Without an HSE Team:

Ensure site leadership teams align with corporate HSE strategies.

Integrate compliance with corporate policies, local regulations, and best practices.
-
Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
2. Ensure Corporate HSE Compliance at the Country Level:

Oversee and implement HSE strategies and programs.
-
Monitor compliance with local and corporate HSE standards.
-
Drive continuous improvement in HSE performance.
3. Strengthen HSE Culture:

Foster a safety-first mindset and accountability among employees.
-
Ensure global policies are adapted to local contexts.

Act as a link between regional operations and corporate HSE leadership.
Core Accountabilities:

Site Engagement: Establish strong connections with site leaders and address challenges like language barriers and resource constraints.

Training & Awareness: Develop and deliver HSE training programs.

Incident & Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments and incident investigations, ensuring proper root cause analysis.

Performance Tracking: Create and monitor HSE dashboards, measuring key performance indicators (KPIs).
-
Regulatory Compliance: Support sites in managing regulatory requirements, maintaining compliance records, and ensuring proper reporting.

Emergency Preparedness: Establish and coordinate crisis management plans, including training, drills, and real-time emergency response.

Collaboration & Best Practices: Work closely with HSE colleagues across regions to align strategies and share best practices.

Third-Party Audits & Compliance: Conduct audits for external warehouses and suppliers to ensure adherence to HSE standards.

Road Safety Management: Implement road safety programs and coordinate responses to severe incidents.

Continuous Improvement: Track progress through measurable KPIs, organize HSE leadership reviews, and drive ongoing cultural improvements.
Your Profile:

University degree in HSE (postgraduate qualification preferred).
-
Strong knowledge of HSE principles, hazard recognition, and regulatory compliance.
-
Experience in industrial HSE and operational roles; international experience is a plus.

Knowledge of chemical/agro industries, warehouse logistics, and quality processes.

Fluent in Greek and English (mandatory).

Strong presentation, influencing, and problem-solving skills.

Understanding of European safety and environmental legislation.
