Antal International is looking for their client, an international manufacturer of bearings with worldwide prestige, for the role of:
SALES ENGINEER – hybrid in Barlad, Vaslui
Role:
Your role will cover Europe, especially the Bulgaria and Poland markets. It will be hybrid/remote work and visiting customers in the field. You will report to the Commercial Director based in Romania/Turkey.
Responsibilities:
- Managing European Key Accounts for Heavy Industrial bearings (main applications: turbines, gearboxes, turbo-compressors, fans, vertical generators, casting machines, stone crushers, mining, oil and gas, railways, wind power, etc.).
- Contribute significantly to the Heavy Industrial sales strategy and business development.
- Negotiate purchasing terms and conditions.
- Respond to inquiries and prepare quotations.
- Collect customer forecasts and firm orders.
- Manage new business launch projects.
- Ensure adequate maintenance of current accounts.
- Handle customer concerns, including delivery and quality issues.
- Make regular business trips and customer visits.
- Generate sales forecasts and budgets to present to top management.
- Met sales targets and coordinated sales projects.
- Establish a quotation database.
- Develop strong relationships with end users, distributors, and the company's technical consultants.
- Perform business development from cold calling to customer conversion.
- Plan and execute necessary marketing activities within the territory.
- Gathered and reported market and competitor information.
- Attended group meetings at company headquarters and arranged customer factory visits.
Key Tasks:
- Drive sales revenues to achieve and exceed the target.
- Acquire and expand the customer base (new business and account management).
Requirements:
- Graduate or Post Graduate in Mechanical Engineering.
- No prior experience in the bearings industry is required, but knowledge of machine construction is a plus.
- Experience working to customer requirements and deadlines.
- Fluent in English.
Abilities:
- Customer-oriented with B2B sales experience in Power/Marine sectors in Bulgaria/Poland.
- Strong sales skills and ability to lead technical discussions.
- Deep technical skills to translate features into customer solutions.
- Proactive in identifying and driving commercial opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with the company's consultants and end users.
- Persuade customers that the company's solutions meet their needs.
- Negotiate contracts to align with both client and company needs.
- Good account management and mapping skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Comfortable working independently under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Personality traits: influence, resilience, commercial awareness, integrity, innovation, leadership.
- Consultative and commercially aware with industry knowledge.
- Self-starter and team player with good organisational skills.
- Experience in a multinational and multicultural environment is a plus.
- Results-driven with a strong work ethic.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Willing to travel. An EU driving license is required.
