Job brief
A global leader in the distribution of plastics and chemical products, with operations across multiple subsidiaries worldwide, is looking for an Inside Sales Representative to support and structure its growth. A true salesperson at heart, the Inside Sales drafts offers, negotiates with clients, and confirms orders in accordance with the organization established with the Sales Manager. Strong interpersonal skills, a negotiator's mindset, and proficiency in IT are essential to fulfill this role, which acts as an interface between sales representatives, clients, and procurement.
Hierarchical Links Reports to: General Manager
- Functional relationships: N/A Replacement in case of absence: Another Inside Sales or the Sales Manager
- Tasks to be Performed
- Propose products to clients, negotiate, and close deals.
- Create, track, and follow up on product quotations.
- Maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, logistics partners, and credit insurers.
- Manage product samples, including organization and shipment tracking.
- Ensure compliance with technical standards and legal requirements for marketed products.
- Conduct market studies and analyze potential opportunities.
- Oversee prospecting activities across various marketing areas.
- Participate in the allocation distribution process (framework contract splits). Manage the commercialization of products with specific clients or in designated export zones.
- Monitor pre-sales activities (sold but not purchased products - Shortsell). Meet KPIs related to volume and margin. Maintain versatility across defined zones.
- Main Assessment Criteria / Qualities Required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM software, and general IT tools.
- Strong knowledge of international business, including familiarity with Incoterms.
- Fluent English, both verbal and written, is essential. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong phone and cold-calling abilities.
- Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong planning, organizational, and flexibility skills. Knowledge of the plastics industry is a plus.
- Education / Professional Experience
- Required Educational background:
- Associate's degree (Bac +2) in International Trade Professional experience: Minimum 3 years
- Company-provided computer and mobile phone.
