Our client is global Chinese company leader in information and communications technology, but not only.
Their Power Conversion Technology Laboratory within their Nuremberg Research Center is responsible for Advanced Digital Power Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design and Strategic Technology Planning, and plays an important role in the design and development of power converters and control systems for applications such as PV Solar & Battery Energy Storage Field, Data Centers, Electric Vehicle, and Embedded Power Supply.
Responsibilities

Your role is to lead research in the field of automotive electrical control technologies. You will lead pioneering technology research projects, overcoming key industrialisation challenges with major theoretical, technical and engineering innovations, while supporting continued leadership in product competitiveness.

You will take the initiative to participate in key EU projects, develop technical cooperation with leading research institutions, and communicate with key customers and industry players to ensure the client’s integration into the European research ecosystem and strengthen its influence.

With a keen understanding of industry dynamics, you will develop sound research strategies, drive breakthroughs in dynamic vehicle and powertrain technologies, expand the patent portfolio, and support the commercial success of industries.

You will lead local teams operating across multiple business modules (braking, steering, powertrain …). Your leadership style will be to motivate team members and create high-performing teams that contribute to the overall success of the client’s initiatives.

Your responsibilities include careful analysis of algorithm requirements, architectural Design, and detailed design based on business requirements.
Requirements

Master's degree or higher in vehicle engineering, mechanical and electronic engineering, automation, electrical and electronic engineering, or related fields.

Extensive experience in the drivetrain and brake system domain with cutting-edge influence in areas like power electronics, drivetrain, braking systems, and vehicle dynamics.

Profound expertise in drivetrain development, vehicle body stability, or torque vectoring (ESC and EPS algorithms) with a background encompassing more than 2 mass production products.

Familiarity with EPS, ESC, torque vectoring, and chassis integrated control algorithms.

Proficient use of Matlab/Simulink and CarSim for modeling, simulation, code generation, with capabilities in model-based development (MBD).

Strong technical influence and extensive connectivity in international research, standards, or academic organizations.

Possess a global and strategic vision with cross-cultural communication and coordination capabilities.

A certain understanding of the industry, allowing for the formulation of corresponding technical strategies aligned with industry trends and requirements.

Fluent in written and spoken English, the working language.
