Functional Responsibilities
Core responsibilities:
Donor Relationship Management:
- Develop and implement strategies to cultivate and retain existing and new donors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for donors, addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with donors through regular communication, including personalised emails, phone calls, and in-person meetings when required.
- Ensure donors receive regular updates on the impact of their contributions and the progress of our programs, projects, and campaigns.
- Identify opportunities to deepen donor engagement and involvement with the organisation's ongoing programs and initiatives.
- Serve as a liaison between donors and internal stakeholders, facilitating communication and ensuring donor needs and interests are effectively addressed.
Donor Servicing and Reporting:
- Collaborate with program staff to prepare compelling funding proposals, grant applications, and reports tailored to the interests and requirements of prospective and current donors.
- Manage the grant application and reporting process, ensuring timely submissions and compliance with donor guidelines and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate donor visits and facilitate quality engagements for donor interactions, contributing to the growth of donor relationships.
- Updating the CRM system and internal MIS on a regular basis
- Track grant deadlines, deliverables, and funding restrictions to effectively manage grant awards and fulfil donor expectations.
Donor Research and Engagement:
- Conduct research on potential donors and develop strategies to establish contacts.
- Leverage alternate networks and explore multiple avenues (e.g., LinkedIn, forums) to identify potential donors.
- Engage with potential donors to cultivate relationships and secure funding opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in the database, including contact information, giving history, and donor preferences.
- Generate reports and analysis on donor giving patterns, trends, and demographics to inform strategic decision-making and donor engagement strategies.
Other Responsibilities:
- Assist with social media communications to enhance organisational visibility and engagement.
- Support the team on projects and collabs as and when required.
- Undertake any other responsibilities as assigned by the Fundraising Lead.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Master’s in business administration/ social work or equivalent
Experience
5-7 years of relevant professional experience in fundraising and resource mobilization
