Role Summary:
The Phosphonates Expert will lead the development and optimization of phosphonate products, ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards while driving sustainability and cost efficiency. This role requires a deep understanding of phosphonate chemistry and the ability to scale lab processes to industrial production.

Key Responsibilities

1. Process Optimization and Scale-Up:

   • Develop and implement strategies to scale up the production of PBTC (Phosphonobutyric acid) and other phosphonates from lab-scale to industrial-scale operations.

   • Optimize production processes to improve yield, cost-effectiveness, and operational efficiency.

2. New Product Development:

   • Lead the design and development of innovative phosphonate-based products for diverse applications such as water treatment, detergents, and agriculture.

   • Ensure all new products meet commercial, technical, and regulatory requirements (e.g., REACH, EPA).

3. Sustainability and Compliance:

   • Focus on creating eco-friendly and biodegradable phosphonate formulations.

   • Ensure adherence to environmental safety standards and sustainability goals.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

   • Work with teams across manufacturing, product management, and engineering to ensure seamless transition from R&D to production.

   • Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support to internal and external stakeholders.

5. Project Management:

   • Oversee R&D projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.

• Monitor progress and report key milestones and challenges to leadership.

6. Knowledge Sharing:

   • Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to the team and staying updated on advancements in phosphonate chemistry and related technologies.

Qualifications

• Education: PhD or MSc in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience: 10+ years of experience in phosphonate chemistry, with proven expertise in process optimization and industrial-scale production.

• Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in regulatory compliance (REACH, EPA).

  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
