Job Description
Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Dewas, MP
Experience: 5 years related experience
Position Reporting To: Production General Supervisor
JOB SUMMARY:
- Serve as a coordinating resource for management, hourly and salaried personnel in the daily operation and functions of the maintenance process under the direction of the Plant Manager
- Manage, initiate, control and direct the activities of employees and equipment in their department.
RESPONSIBILITIES (IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
- Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements in the facility’s geographic location and:
- The Global Operating System Plays;
- ISO 45001 Health and Safety Management system standard;
- ISO 14001 Environmental Management system standard;
- IATF 16949 Technical Specification Management and Client’s Quality Basics system standards.
- TISAX Information Security Management System standard
- Support, Foster, Promote and Demonstrate Client’s’s Core Values and Leadership Behaviors.
- Maintain balance between customer, employee and financial satisfaction by maximizing facility/department Performance Indicators to align to Client’s Stepping Stool of Success Strategy.
- Allocate work as required within the department
- Ensure that manpower within the department is fully utilized
- Ensure appropriate parts supplies are available in order to properly maintain essential equipment.
- Ensure that required PM practices are in place
- Keep accurate and current records of all problems and remedies.
- Develop and maintain strong employee motivation and morale.
- Obtain help and guidance for employees with major problems.
- Supervisory responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training new employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving concerns
ACADEMIC / EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Industrial Millwright apprenticeship papers or certificate of Engineering Technology or minimum 5 years related experience
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
- 4.1 Ability to meet, realize and support customers’ product requirements, implement the knowledge of operation system and specific requirement.
- Maintenance certificate is must
- Good English communication in written and spoken
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work in a well-ventilated, open concept office environment with adequate lighting and temperature.
- Standard office equipment will be used such as computers, photocopiers, fax, phone, etc.
FACILITY SPECIFIC:
- Refer to Facility Specific Requirements.
- Strong support LPS when required
- Maintenance Supervisor day to day work
- Schedule work for maintenance personal per work order and preventive maintenance list
- Sign Off work order and preventive maintenance done
- Create oil/coolant control system
- Spare parts control system
- Contact Supplier
