Role details:

• Title / Designation: Manager – GAAP Reporting (Insurance Domain)
• Location: Noida
• Shift: US – 5:30PM TO 2:30AM

Role & responsibilities:

• Ensure end-to-end operations management for Statutory Financial reporting, disclosures, Surveys, State filings etc.
• Partnering in setting the team’s strategic direction and assisting in the overall running of the team’s operations
• Ownership of processes, reports, procedures or products. Subject Matter Expert with knowledge of cross-function processes
• Review of critical journal entries, GAAP/STAT supplements, and Notes to accounts before submission to onshore team
• Leadership and development of staff
• Liaison with multiple departments (Input providers) during the close to ensure timely completion of deliverables/Collaborate for special projects
• Support quarterly/annual audits by internal auditors, as-well-as, independent external auditors
• Participate or lead special projects, initiatives, ad-hoc reporting, and analysis requests
• Understand & anticipate clients’ business needs/concerns, etc. & proactively resolve the same

• Identify process improvement opportunities to drive efficiencies and enhanced controls
• Act as a point of escalation for any operational issues

Candidate requirements:

• CA/CPA/MBA/Post-Graduate in Finance with 8+ years of experience in Financial Accounting & Reporting (US GAAP & STAT Reporting)
• Rich exposure on National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) regulatory.
• Should have an experience in handling team size of approximately 8-10 people
• Expertise into Regulatory reporting, technical accounting principles and STAT reporting requirements
• Capable of working with tight deadlines and lead closure of reporting timelines
• Effectively balance quality, timeliness and accuracy standards
• Identify and implement enhancements and efficiencies
• Experience with financial reporting applications (Oracle BI, Essbase, Workiva, EagleWings)
• Insurance accounting regulatory reporting experience (SSAP knowledge) preferred
• Proficiency in MS-excel & MS PowerPoint
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels across the organization
