Our client is looking for a dynamic Managing Director who is business and results driven, takes pride on delivering a high level of service. Pioneer – entrepreneurship spirit.
The successful candidate will be expected to understand the technical nature of the Adhesives market.
The overall objective of the role of MD - Managing Director – SPAIN/PORTUGAL is to grow both the turnover and profitability of product portfolio/market as a priority and continue to explore new acquisition opportunities.
This position reports to the board of Director and President West Europe, MEA, India, China
Mission – Keys responsibilities:
- Manage the company’s staff, ensuring a high motivation among the team to reach the commercial objectives
- Ensures the Sales of an existing portfolio for specialities chemicals market at several million euros, ensuring steady growth in a competitive market.
- Manage keys Suppliers in coordination with the headquarter - Develop comprehensive offer list.
- Keep costs under control and manage relation with third parties (logistic service provider, bank, accounting service provider, authorities, legal institution) – Manage P&L
- Sourcing and explore new product line/new supplier’s opportunities
- Evaluation, definition and positioning product portfolio according to market requirements
- Manage sales forces (several sales managers in team)- Quoting and negotiating with customers and suppliers
- Build the company’s yearly budget - Implement growth’s strategy
- New business acquisition (M&A)
- Follow market trends, competitive intelligence, regulatory changes and supplier strategy
- Participation to marketing actions and communication of our product range (trade fairs, associations, regulatory bodies)
- Extensive cooperation/Synergies and reporting with the headquarter
- Prevents and manages the conflicts of any nature with customers & suppliers
Qualification et Experience :
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry/Chemical relevant– alternatively in Economy/Finance/MBA with proven experience in Chemistry.
- Commercial Experience of 10-15 years minimum in Chemical’s sectors with strong background in adhesives market is a plus.
- Team management experienced
