We are seeking a Mechatronics Engineer – Robotics and Industrial Systems to design, develop, and integrate mechanical, electrical, and software systems for advanced robotic platforms, including quadrupeds, humanoids, and industrial robots. This role requires expertise in motion control, sensor integration, real-time systems, and hardware-software interfacing to ensure high performance and reliability in dynamic environments.
Key Responsibilities:

Mechatronic System Design & Integration
- Develop integrated mechatronic systems, combining actuators, sensors, controllers, and mechanical components.
- Ensure seamless hardware-software integration, collaborating with robotics, AI, and embedded systems teams.
- Optimize system performance for precision, speed, and reliability in robotic applications.

Motion Control & Actuation Systems
- Implement and fine-tune control algorithms for DC motors, BLDC motors, servo motors, and stepper motors.
- Design motion control systems for robotic movement, gait control, and stability.
- Optimize power management and thermal efficiency for high-performance electromechanical systems.

Sensor Integration & Calibration
- Integrate and calibrate IMUs, LiDAR, cameras, force sensors, and encoders for robotic perception and control.
- Validate sensor data to ensure accuracy in real-time robotic applications.
- Develop sensor fusion algorithms to enhance robotic perception and intelligence.

Prototyping, Testing & Iteration
- Build and test mechatronic prototypes, refining designs based on real-world performance analysis.
- Conduct functional and endurance testing of robotic systems in simulated and real environments.
- Troubleshoot and optimize electromechanical systems to improve efficiency and reliability.

Control System Development & AI Integration
- Develop control algorithms for robotic motion, stability, and task execution.
- Work with software engineers to integrate AI and perception modules into robotic control systems.
- Use dynamic modeling and simulation tools to validate control strategies and enhance robotic behavior.

Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system designs, testing protocols, and technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with industry safety standards for robotics and automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product development and system integration.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years in mechatronic system design, control systems, and robotic applications.
- Technical Expertise:
- CAD & Mechanical Design: Proficiency in SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar tools for electromechanical design.
- Control Systems & Algorithms: Strong knowledge of PID control, state-space modeling, Model Predictive Control (MPC), and adaptive control.
- Actuator & Motion Systems: Experience with DC motors, BLDC motors, servo drives, and stepper motors.
- Sensor Integration: Expertise in IMUs, encoders, LiDAR, cameras, and force sensors, including sensor fusion.
- Embedded Systems & Programming: Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, and C/C++, with experience in STM32, Arduino, NVIDIA Jetson, and Raspberry Pi.
- Simulation & Robotics Frameworks: Hands-on experience with Simulink, Gazebo, and ROS for virtual testing and validation.
Preferred Skills & Additional Expertise:
- Experience with Quadrupeds & Humanoids: Familiarity with legged robots, bipedal locomotion, and dynamic balancing.
- Industrial Automation & PLCs: Knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, and automated manufacturing processes.
- Power Electronics & Energy Optimization: Experience with battery management systems, power distribution, and efficiency improvements.
- Advanced AI & Robotics: Understanding of SLAM, sensor fusion, and robotic path planning algorithms.
- Open-Source Contributions: Experience contributing to robotics and mechatronics open-source projects.
- Problem-Solving & Innovation: Strong analytical and debugging skills to optimize robotic system performance.
