Production Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.
- Allocate resources (manpower, materials, and machinery) effectively to optimize productivity.
- Coordinate with sales, procurement, and logistics teams for seamless operations.
- Process Optimization
- Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Implement lean manufacturing practices and maintain a focus on cost reduction.
- Quality Control
- Establish quality standards and ensure adherence throughout the production cycle.
- Address quality issues promptly and implement corrective measures.
- Oversee testing and inspection of raw materials and finished products.
- Team Management
- Lead and manage the production team, including operators, technicians, and supervisors.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance team skills and ensure safety compliance.
- Motivate and manage staff to meet production goals.
- Equipment and Maintenance
- Monitor the condition of machinery and equipment, ensuring proper functioning.
- Schedule and oversee routine maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
- Research and recommend new technologies to improve production.
- Compliance and Safety
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Implement safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits.
- Inventory Management
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
- Coordinate with procurement to avoid material shortages or overstocking.
- Reporting and Analysis
- Generate production reports to track efficiency, output, and costs.
- Use data to identify trends, improve processes, and plan future production.
Qualifications and Skills
- Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in Production Management are advantageous.
- Experience
- 5–7 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the packaging or paper products sector.
- Proven experience in managing teams and production processes.
- Skills
- Strong organizational and planning abilities.
- Proficiency in production management software (e.g., ERP).
- Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with safety and quality standards (ISO, GMP).

- On-time delivery rate.
- Production efficiency and machine utilization.
- Quality control metrics (e.g., defect rate).
