We are looking to expand our operations with our own production facility and seek a skilled Project Manager to oversee this exciting project from inception to completion.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in the food manufacturing industry to lead the establishment of our new food stabilizer production facility. This role involves managing the project from the initial planning stages through to the start of production. The ideal candidate will have the skills and experience to potentially transition into the role of Production Manager once the facility is operational.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Project Management or similar is a plus.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in project management within the food manufacturing industry, preferably in food additives or stabilizers.
- Strong understanding of production processes, equipment, and facility requirements in food manufacturing.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Management:
- Develop a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to determine the most efficient and effective methods for establishing the production facility.
- Identify and procure necessary production equipment in close cooperation with the Management, ensuring it meets industry standards and company needs.
- Equipment & Facility Assessment:
- Collaborate with the different teams to ensure the building layout meets production and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of production equipment.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that all aspects of the project comply with local, national, and international food safety and production regulations.
- Coordinate with relevant authorities to obtain necessary permits and certifications.
- Team Coordination & Leadership:
- Lead cross-functional teams including engineers, architects, contractors, and suppliers to ensure the project stays on track.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, maintaining clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide training and support to staff as necessary during the transition from project completion to production.
- Budget Management:
- Manage the project budget, including cost estimation, allocation, tracking, and reporting.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or safety.
- Transition to Production:
- Oversee the transition from project completion to the start of production, ensuring a smooth handover.
- Potentially take on the role of Production Manager, overseeing day-to-day operations of the new facility.
