JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client, a leading provider of International Trade and Financial Services (ITFS), is seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager within the MSME segment to join their dynamic team. This individual will play a crucial role in acquiring and onboarding new clients for ITFS solutions, ensuring seamless integration into the company's offerings, and developing long-lasting, successful relationships and account management. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of export factoring, trade finance, financial services, and the onboarding process within the international trade space.

Location: Mumbai /Chennai/ Delhi/ Surat/Tirupur/ Jodhpur
Work Location: Hybrid
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Acquisition & Onboarding:
o Identify and prospect potential MSME exporter clients in need of international
trade and financial services.
o Guide new clients through the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition
from initial contact to active service engagement.
o Ensure that all client documentation, KYC and compliance checks, and
regulatory requirements are completed efficiently and accurately.
2. Client Relationship Management:
o Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients from the moment
of onboarding.
o Understand clients’ international trade finance needs and ensure services are
aligned to their business goals.
o Provide clients with detailed explanations of the products and services available,
answering questions, and resolving concerns.
o Assist in promoting additional ITFS products to new clients based on their
business needs and trade requirements.
3. Onboarding Process Optimization:
o Serve as the main point of contact during the onboarding phase and provide
ongoing support.
o Work closely with internal teams (compliance, operations, legal) to streamline
and optimize the onboarding process for efficiency.
o Ensure that all onboarding activities are compliant with industry regulations,
internal policies, and client-specific requirements.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
Experience:
• Minimum of 2-5 years of prior experience in business development, sales / marketing,
lead generation for trade finance products – export factoring, invoice discounting, etc
with Export Factoring companies.
• Experience with cold calling, email campaigns, and direct outreach to generate leads
and build relationships.
• Familiarity with the KYC processes and regulatory requirements involved in international
trade finance.
• Proven track record of successfully onboarding clients and fostering long-term
relationships.
Skills:
• Good understanding of ITFS products and services (export factoring, invoice discounting,
etc.).
• Proficiency with email campaign tools, cold calling scripts, and carpet-bombing
techniques.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in tracking and reporting outreach
efforts.
• Knowledge of Customer onboarding process (for regulated entities) and documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (operations, compliance,
legal) to deliver successful client onboarding experiences.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
