Job Title: Relationship Manager, Commercial Banking – Ghana

Job Purpose:
The Relationship Manager, Commercial Banking, will oversee a portfolio of Commercial and SME clients, ensuring portfolio growth, credit quality, and superior client service. The role focuses on driving banking solutions, enhancing customer relationships, and achieving profitability targets.Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of Commercial and SME clients, driving growth in assets and liabilities while ensuring client retention and satisfaction.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in client organizations and identify opportunities for cross-selling banking products and services.
- Maintain high credit quality within the portfolio by adhering to the bank’s risk management policies and proactively mitigating risks.
- Develop and execute strategies to grow the commercial banking portfolio in line with the bank’s strategic goals.
- Promote trade finance solutions to clients, with a focus on import/export businesses.
- Expand the use of banking products and services across the portfolio.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Treasury and Retail Banking, to deliver tailored solutions to clients.
- Represent the bank in client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities to enhance market presence.
- Prepare and present performance reports, highlighting portfolio growth, risk management, and profitability.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Growth in assets, liabilities, and off-balance-sheet products
- Increased utilization of banking products and services
- Growth in trade finance volume and revenue
- Portfolio profitability and risk management
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields
- MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage
- Professional certifications in accountancy, banking, or risk management are preferred
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Commercial, Business, or SME Banking
- Proven track record of managing Commercial and SME clients and driving portfolio growth
- Strong business development, client management, and negotiation skills
- Deep knowledge of banking products, trade finance, and credit risk
