Job Description As a Risk Manager in our asset-backed finance company, you will evaluate the creditworthiness of prospective borrowers/clients, conduct thorough due diligence on potential deals, and support ongoing portfolio management activities. Your responsibilities will also include attention to Compliance, Environmental, and Social risks. Working closely with Account Managers, you will report directly to the Regional Managing Director and communicate regularly with the Head of Credit, Asset Manager, and Senior Management at the group level.
Key Responsibilities
Credit Assessment:

Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documentation to assess the creditworthiness of prospective borrowers/clients.

Evaluate the quality and marketability of collateral assets securing the loans.

Conduct comprehensive risk analysis to identify potential credit, market, and operational risks associated with each transaction.
Due Diligence:

Conduct thorough due diligence on potential borrowers/clients, including industry analysis, competitive positioning, and management assessment.

Validate the accuracy and completeness of financial information provided by borrowers/clients.

Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all necessary documentation and regulatory requirements are met.
Credit Underwriting:

Prepare detailed credit proposals outlining key findings, risks, and recommendations for each transaction.

Structure loan terms and conditions in line with the company's risk appetite and regulatory guidelines.

Present credit proposals to the Regional Managing Director for approval, providing clear and concise explanations of the analysis conducted.
Portfolio Management:

Monitor and review the performance of the asset-backed loan portfolio, identifying early warning signals and taking appropriate actions.

Collaborate with colleagues to develop strategies for managing risk exposure and enhancing portfolio performance.
Relationship Management:

Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, including the Regional Managing Director, to facilitate efficient deal execution.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with borrowers/clients, external auditors, legal counsel, and other relevant parties.
Qualifications:

Strong technical capabilities with a high sense of ethics and potential for leadership.

Proven experience in risk management, credit analysis, or a related field.

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
