At Antal International, we are looking for a Risk Operations Manager for an insurance sector company. This professional will be pivotal in managing the day-to-day operations of the risk management function, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement in all operational processes related to risk management.
The Risk Operations Manager will oversee multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with external vendors, and manage the implementation of operational risk policies, all with the aim of ensuring effective and high-quality risk management across the company.
Main Responsibilities:
- Managing Risk Operations Teams:
- Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of teams handling various risk areas, including compliance, fraud prevention, client onboarding, and general operational risks.
- Optimize workflows and ensure that tasks are executed efficiently, aligning team goals with the company’s Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
- Coordinate relationships with external vendors supporting risk functions, ensuring that service level agreements (SLAs) are met and quality standards are maintained.
- Foster team development through coaching and continuous training to maximize team performance.
- Reporting & Tracking Risk Metrics (SQL & Power BI):
- Design and manage reporting systems that track progress against risk-related OKRs across various operational domains.
- Utilize advanced SQL skills to query and analyze large data sets, creating detailed reports and visual dashboards in Power BI that highlight key risk trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities.
- Ensure that reports are accurate, timely, and provide a clear picture of the risk landscape to support strategic decision-making.
- Provide analysis and recommendations based on data to adjust strategies, processes, and workflows in order to meet risk management objectives.
Job Requirements:
- Proven Experience: At least 5 years managing operations or teams in risk, compliance, or auditing environments, preferably within the insurance or financial sectors.
- SQL Proficiency: Advanced SQL skills with experience in analyzing large volumes of data and generating actionable reports.
- Power BI Knowledge: Experience using Power BI or similar tools to create visual dashboards and track key performance metrics.
- Risk & Compliance Knowledge: In-depth understanding of operational risk management, fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, and their implications within the insurance sector.
- Leadership & Team Management: Proven ability to lead and optimize multidisciplinary teams, focusing on enhancing efficiency and ensuring operational quality.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement from data and to resolve complex problems effectively.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex data and processes clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
