Job Title: Robotic Surgery Consultant

JOB SUMMARY

The role of Robotic Surgery Practitioner is to support the robotic surgical service at RDUH North through a range of activities. The Robotic Surgery Practitioner will be a responsible, reliable and skilled individual who will ensure consistently high standards of surgical patient care are met when undergoing robotically assisted surgery. The appointed person will have responsibility as a surgical first assistant for robotic surgery cases across the specialties of general surgery. The practitioner would be expected to function as a part of the surgical team and support all aspects of care relating to robotic surgical cases peri and intra-operatively and be actively involved in training.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides high-quality care to patients in this area of medicine. 

Provide consultative service as requested. 

Supervise fellows, staff/assistant physicians, and residents. 

Actively participates in the training and teaching of residents and fellows in his area of expertise and Participates in research activities. 

Participates in committees and other administrative functions as needed. 

Performs special procedures as privileged. 

Follows all hospital-related policies and procedures. 

Performs other related duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education

Graduate from a medical school of good standing.

Completion of required period of training in robotics

Saudi Arab or American /European Board Certification or equivalent.

Membership and/or Fellowship status in America and/or Europe or their equivalent and fulfilling the criteria for the consultant as required

Dataflow is a must. Professional Experience

Min. 3-4 years Post Board/Fellowship in specialty.

Language

Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
