Sales Engineer in the Electronics Industry
Our client is a traditional Japanese company with a global presence, specialized in the production and supply of soldering materials for the electronics and electrical industry. Founded in 1964, it has distinguished itself through the development of innovative solutions for SMT (Surface Mount Technology) soldering processes and power electronics, offering a wide range of products such as lead-free solder pastes, fluxes, solder wires, and special low-melting-point alloys.
The company invests constantly in research and development, responding to the demands for technological advancement, sustainability, and compliance with environmental regulations. It provides advanced technical support, analysis, and testing to optimize customers’ processes in areas of expertise such as:
- Solder pastes for general and special applications (including zero-residue or vacuum process variants).
- Highperformance fluxes and solder wires.
- Solutions for halogenfree soldering, low-silver-content alloys, bismuth- and indium-based alloys.
- Technical support and consultancy for process optimization.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Manage a defined portfolio of clients in Romania and Bulgaria, ensuring the maintenance and development of long-term business relationships.
- Provide active support and continuously develop relationships with existing clients, identifying their needs and proposing customized technical solutions.
- Prospect the market and attract new clients, expanding the portfolio and contributing to market share growth.
- Offer specialized technical consultancy regarding client’s specific applications and adapt products to their requirements.
- Oversee projects from the offer and negotiation phase through to delivery and implementation, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Collaborate closely with the international sales team and distribution partners to manage global key accounts and implement joint strategies.
- Periodically monitor the market and competition to identify trends, technological developments, and development opportunities, proposing strategic actions.
- Actively participate in trade fairs, conferences, and industry events to promote products and strengthen relationships with partners and clients.
- Prepare periodic reports on sales activity, client feedback, and project progress, proposing improvement measures.
- Stay up to date with technical and commercial developments by participating in training and instruction sessions to ensure a high level of expertise.
- Be available for frequent travel in Romania and Bulgaria, adapting to market and client requirements.
Ideal Profile:
- Successfully completed engineering degree or technical vocational training with further qualification as a certified technician or engineer in electronics, electrical engineering, mechatronics, process engineering, automation technology, materials testing, or comparable fields.
- Practical professional experience in technical sales or a client-related position (e.g., product management, project management, field service, customer support, internal sales, applications).
- Confident, sales-oriented, and customer-focused demeanor.
- Strong communication skills combined with an independent and structured working style.
- Very good knowledge of German (nice to have) and English (mandatory).
- Willingness to undertake regular business travel.
