Role details:
- Title / Designation: Sales Manager - Africa
- Reporting Manager: EVP – Sales

Role & responsibilities:
- Strong knowledge of the African Fuel Retail and Oil & Gas Downstream market, with established contacts within Oil Marketing Companies
- Develop and execute account plans for downstream oil and gas customers in West & Central Africa, identifying new opportunities and expanding market presence
- Collaborate with senior executives to define and implement sales strategies while working closely with internal teams (Pre-sales, Operations, and Delivery) to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Build and strengthen relationships with customers, regulators, market participants, and business partners to drive sales growth
- Manage and develop a strong sales pipeline, ensuring consistent funnel growth and achieving annual, quarterly, and monthly sales targets
- Negotiate and present strategic proposals to potential clients, leveraging CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) for lead tracking, opportunity management, and sales standardization
Candidate requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in sales or account management within the Oil & Gas industry in West and Central Africa
- Proven track record in selling software and automation solutions to end clients across Africa, with deep industry knowledge
- Experience in fuel automation, retail sales, and point-of-sale (POS) solutions for the fuel retail environment
- Technical or retail sales experience with a multinational company or regional fuel retailer in Africa, specializing in the downstream Oil & Gas industry
- Fluent in French and English (advanced proficiency required)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related technical or business discipline
- Thorough knowledge of Incoterms and their application in international trade and logistics
