Job Details:

• Type of work: Remote (1 day/week in the office, full work from home offered during month-end closing).
• Office location: Bucharest, Romania.

Team Overview: The finance department is led by a Chief Accountant, supported by a small team. The company is currently expanding operations and opening a new warehouse for one of their key clients, so they require an experienced accountant familiar with accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling accounts payable and receivable.
• Recording, classifying, and summarizing financial transactions in accordance with accepted accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of noncompliance.
• Producing accounting reports and monthly/quarterly/yearly statistics.
• Handling daily/monthly financial computations and payments.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of financial management goals, policies, priorities, and procedures.
• Participating in financial standards setting and forecasting processes.
• Cooperating with external auditors for annual audits.
• Collaborating with tax authorities during tax reviews.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with expertise in cost center allocation and reporting.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and other MS Office tools.
• Experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards or similar) is a plus.
• Strong command of English (both written and spoken).
