Location: Remote (1 day/week in office – full remote during month-end closing)
Office Location: Bucharest, Romania (Multiple office options available)About the Role:
As a Senior Financial Controller & Reporting Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in managing and analyzing financial data for logistics operations. This position involves driving operational performance through financial oversight, optimizing processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting, forecasting, and budget management.Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Control: Oversee the financial performance of logistics centers, ensuring efficient operations and cost management.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate financial reports and perform in-depth analysis to provide insights and support decision-making.
- Sales Invoicing Management: Coordinate invoicing processes based on the open-book model, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
- Budget Development & Management: Lead the preparation and oversight of annual budgets for logistics centers, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
- Data Insights & Presentation: Analyze financial data and prepare presentations to communicate key financial metrics to senior management.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations and accounting teams to provide accurate financial forecasts, reporting, and business insights.
- Risk Management & Mitigation: Identify potential financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the optimization of financial processes and the development of tools to improve operational efficiency.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: At least 3 years in a financial control or reporting role, ideally in a logistics or operational environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel (VBA is an advantage); experience with MS Access and Power BI is a plus.
- Financial Expertise: Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting principles.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, proactive communication, and the ability to manage tasks independently.
