Job Description: Senior Key Account Manager – FMCG
Location: Bucharest, Romania
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Key Account Management and Distributor Management within the FMCG industry.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen.
- Proven ability to identify risks and opportunities with effective risk mitigation and opportunity realization strategies.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all organizational levels.
- Expertise in strategic planning and execution of processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and SAP.
Responsibilities:
- Devise and negotiate trade terms with distributors and/or retailers in coordination with finance and legal teams.
- Monitor adherence to terms, assess risks, and implement actions to minimize potential losses.
- Develop and implement strategies to meet sales targets.
- Identify and exploit new opportunities for continuous business growth.
- Focus on acquiring new customers and nurturing existing relationships to maximize market penetration.
- Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and the competitive landscape.
- Stay updated on industry developments to adapt strategies accordingly.
- Oversee regional/country marketing and trade budgets, ensuring strong ROI.
- Plan and execute annual activities to drive growth.
- Represent the company at industry fairs and events to enhance the commercial network.
- Strengthen relationships with key business partners and stakeholders.
- Liaise with R&D and marketing teams to express demands for new products.
- Strategize on introducing new products to the portfolio at competitive pricing.
