Your Role:

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Manual Testing to play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications. In this role, you will design and execute manual test strategies, mentor junior QA engineers, and work closely with product and engineering teams to drive a high standard of software quality.

You will be responsible for conducting functional, exploratory, regression, UI, API, and cross-platform testing, ensuring that our applications meet the highest standards.

You will:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze product requirements and define comprehensive test strategies.

• Design and execute detailed test plans and test cases to validate software functionality across web and mobile applications.

• Perform UI, API, mobile app and end-to-end testing to identify defects and usability issues.

• Conduct exploratory testing to uncover potential user experience and performance issues.

• Document and track defects, working closely with developers to resolve issues efficiently.

• Assist in test data preparation and ensure effective test coverage across multiple platforms.

• Identify areas for process improvements and contribute to test documentation and QA best practices.

• Mentor junior QA engineers, providing guidance on best testing practices.

• Work alongside automation engineers to identify areas where automation can be leveraged in the future.

• Stay updated with emerging trends in QA methodologies, tools, and techniques.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Great attention to detail.

• 4-6 years of experience in software testing, with expertise in manual testing of web and mobile applications.

• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, including functional, regression, exploratory, and API testing.

• Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).

• Experience with performance testing tool.

• Good knowledge of SQL for data validation.

• Familiarity with Agile development processes (Scrum, Kanban).

• Experience working with test management tools and defect tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).

• Excellent debugging skills, identifying and reporting issue.

• Understanding of cross-browser and cross-platform testing techniques.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and report software issues.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects efficiently.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work closely with development, product, and other QA teams.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to basic scripting (Python, JavaScript) for testing-related tasks.

• Knowledge of automation testing concepts and a willingness to transition into automation in the future.

• Experience in testing applications related to the restaurant industry or POS systems.

• Experience with performance testing and security testing.

• Familiarity with cloud-based testing tools and mobile testing frameworks.
