Primary Purpose & Scope:
As a Senior Sales Manager (Client Director) for the Adria region (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Greece, and Cyprus), you will be a key player within our Sales team. Based in Athens, you will develop tailored marketing and loyalty concepts, analyze client potentials, and identify growth opportunities within the market dynamics. Your role involves delivering compelling business cases that justify retailer investments in our solutions and ensuring clients are well-informed about our offerings. Building strong relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations will be crucial, as will collaborating with them to develop new sales strategies based on client briefings, shopper insights, and needs. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in selling and closing profitable deals, drafting contracts, and orchestrating resources for successful project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development: Work with the Head of Sales to create innovative strategies to grow our presence in existing channels.
- Sales Planning: Design and implement new sales strategies and plans in collaboration with the Head of Sales and related functions (Marketing/Campaign, Research, Business Development).
- Business Expansion: Identify and target new clients to grow the business, exploring future business opportunities in the Adriatic and Ionian Region.
- Client Management: Engage with national clients to present new business strategies, existing projects, and campaigns.
- Client Analysis: Analyze potential clients and develop concepts tailored to their needs.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong customer relationships to close long-term deals.
- Financial Accountability: Take responsibility for profit and loss within your region.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years as a Senior Sales, Marketing Manager, or Key Account Manager.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the food retail market in the Adria region.
- Sales Expertise: Experience in complex sales involving tailor-made projects and strong client orientation.
- Marketing Acumen: In-depth knowledge of retail marketing.
- Business Development: Strong business development mindset with a competitive drive to win.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills to identify and leverage market opportunities.
- Negotiation: Diplomatic negotiation skills with the ability to convince, get results, and close sales.
- Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and Greek for effective communication, selling, and negotiating.
- Travel: Willingness to travel as needed.
