Job Details:
We are looking for an experienced LMS Skill Director to oversee the technical and strategic direction of our LMS practice. The candidate will be responsible for leading presales efforts, driving innovative technical solutions, and managing teams across projects. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in LMS platforms such as Moodle, D2L, Blackboard, or Canvas, and can lead cross-functional teams while working closely with clients to deliver high-quality learning solutions.
Must Have Skills/Competencies:
Technical Solutions and Delivery:
❖ Lead the design and delivery of LMS solutions, ensuring alignment with client business goals.
❖ Provide technical leadership in LMS platform integration, customization, migration, and implementation.
❖ Oversee the development of scalable, secure, and efficient solutions in line with industry best practices. ❖ Stay updated with LMS market trends, new features, and emerging technologies to enhance service offerings.
Pre-sales and Business Development:
❖ Collaborate with sales teams in presales activities, including client meetings, solution demonstrations, and technical presentations.
❖ Develop solution proposals, including defining scope, estimation, resource planning, and risk management for LMS projects.
❖ Assist in RFP/RFI responses by providing technical expertise and solution strategies.
❖ Act as a key point of contact for clients during the pre-sales phase, ensuring technical requirements are met. Leadership and Team Management:
❖ Lead a multidisciplinary team of LMS consultants, developers, and support personnel.
❖ Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
❖ Ensure team adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints.
❖ Drive knowledge-sharing sessions, encourage collaboration, and ensure proper onboarding and training for new hires.
Must Have Skills/Competencies:
❖ Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
❖ Experience: Minimum 13 years of experience in LMS platforms with proven success in leading technical solutions and presales.
❖ Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, D2L), cloud technologies (AWS, Azure), and integration standards (SCORM, xAPI, LTI).
❖ Leadership: Proven experience in leading teams, mentoring staff, and managing large-scale projects.
❖ Presales Acumen: Strong experience in presales, including crafting solution proposals, delivering presentations, and managing client relationships.
❖ Analytical Skills: Ability to assess technical and business challenges and translate them into practical solutions.
❖ Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams
