Role details:

Role & responsibilities:
- Develop and document database architectures, schemas, and physical structures that align
- with business requirements and best practices.
- Implement and maintain security measures to ensure database integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Evaluate database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to enhance database performance and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data availability and minimize downtime in case of system failures or data loss.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related problems, faults, and issues to ensure smooth and uninterrupted database operations.
- Plan, install, configure, optimize, and upgrade database management system software to enhance performance and keep the database environment up to date.
- Manage database replication and distribution processes to ensure data consistency and availability across multiple environments.
- Performs capacity planning of server environments and provides recommendations to management to sustain business growth.
- Provide technical support offering guidance and expertise on database-related matters.
- Leverage expertise in relational (preferably MS SQL Server) and NoSQL (preferably Cassandra) to manage and optimize databases in both public cloud and on-prem setups.
- Utilize T-SQL skills to develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and function to meet performance and functional requirements.
Candidate requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in relational (preferable MS SQL Server) and NoSQL (preferably Cassandra) databases in multi-cloud environments like Azure, and AWS in enterprise settings.
- SQL development (T-SQL) skills are strongly desired
- Strong track record of evaluating database performance, isolating performance bottlenecks, and implementing database optimizations in transactional settings.
- Database Architecture concepts with hands-on experience regarding high availability, load balancing, and distributed computing required.
- Experience managing and monitoring 24x7 Production database environments.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
