Job Purpose
The Test Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and robustness of multiple product lines within the organization.
This position is responsible for defining and implementing the test strategy, overseeing different testing phases, and ensuring alignment with business and technical objectives.
The Test Coordinator will collaborate with cross-functional teams to orchestrate seamless test execution, promote best practices, and continuously improve the testing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Planning
- Define and maintain the Test Strategy across multiple product lines, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Establish and enforce best practices for test planning, execution, and reporting.
- Identify and implement test automation opportunities where applicable.
- Coordinate and oversee various testing phases, including:
- Unit Testing (conducted by development teams)
- Integration Testing (verifying interactions between components)
- System Integration Testing (SIT) (ensuring end-to-end system functionality)
- End-to-End (E2E) Testing (validating business processes across systems)
- Performance Testing (evaluating system behavior under load)
- Ensure smooth collaboration between development, QA, and operations teams.
- Define and manage test environments and data provisioning for different test phases.
- Function as the crucial point of contact for all testing-related matters across product lines.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Product Owners, Developers, and Business Analysts to define test requirements.
- Provide regular test status reports and communicate risks, defects, and mitigation plans to stakeholders.
- Implement and track KPIs to measure testing effectiveness and efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in testing methodologies and tools.
- Promote a shift-left testing approach, ensuring early detection of defects.
Qualification
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software testing, including coordination of large-scale testing initiatives.
- Certification in ISTQB or equivalent is a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, test automation, and test management tools.
- Experience in orchestrating complex integration testing in multi-system environments.
- Understanding of performance testing and ability to interpret system benchmarks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for automated testing.
- Proven ability to coordinate testing efforts across multiple teams and product lines.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to align stakeholders.
- Experience in risk-based testing and test prioritization.
- Evaluate test management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps)
- Automation frameworks (e.g., Robot Framework)
- Performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter)
- CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps)
- Employment Type: Full-time, Hybrid (2 days per week in the office)
